Why we do it this way
Most tools like this give you a cut-down free version — three exports, or the small sizes only, or a locked download button — and you find out whether the background removal actually handles fur after you have paid. That is backwards for a portrait you are going to hang on a wall.
So the free version is the real thing. Run your worst photo through it. Try every photo of your dog you have. Look at the whiskers at 100%. If the cut-out is bad on your particular fluffy dog, you will know before you spend anything, and you should not spend anything.
The trade is that free exports are watermarked heavily enough that you would not print them. You can see the result with them; you cannot frame it.
When you are ready to print, $5 takes the watermark off that photo. There is no subscription, because one portrait does not need one. You do the work first, look at the finished portrait watermarked, and only then decide whether it is worth $5 to print clean.
No account, and no records
There are no accounts here. You buy the pass in the app, the tab you are already working in stays open, and the export you were looking at comes out clean. It is tied to that photo rather than to you, which is why it needs nothing to log in to.
We hold no database of users, no photo history and no order records, because there is nowhere to put them. That is also why there is nothing to breach.

- Heavy enough that a free export is not something you would print. It is tiled across the whole image rather than tucked into a corner. That is deliberate: the free version exists so you can see the finished portrait, made from your own photo, before paying anything.
- Do I have to subscribe?

- What exactly does the $5 pass cover?

- Do I need to create an account?

- Where are my files kept?

- Yes. Pro is $19 a month or $149 a year and removes the watermark from every photo. Past three photos a month it costs less than a pass per photo.
- Is Pro an account?
- No. Pro is a license key, not an account. You pay through Stripe Checkout, the key arrives by email, and you paste it into the app once. It is stored in your browser and validated periodically.
- Is 149 dollars a year cheaper than paying monthly?
- Yes. At $19 a month the annual cost would be $228, so the $149 yearly price saves you $79 — a little over 4 months free.
- What happens if I cancel Pro?
- The app keeps working and exports go back to being watermarked. Your files are already on your computer, so there is nothing to lose access to.
- Can I use one license on more than one computer?
- Yes, within reason. A license is meant for one seller, so use it on your laptop and your desktop freely. It is not intended to be shared across a team or a group of shops.
